사계절 경관이 뛰어나고 이용객이 많은 두타산 임도에 휴식 공간이 부족하다는 민원에 따라, 군은 총사업비 4000만원을 들여 정자 및 휴게 벤치, 청정 지하수를 활용한 음수시설 등 휴게 인프라를 갖춰 자연 속 힐링 공간을 완성했다.
이날 현판식에는 이재영 군수를 비롯한 주민 20여 명이 참석해 약수터 개장을 축하했다.
참석자들은 현판 제막과 시음을 함께하며 새로 조성된 쉼터의 의미를 되새겼다.
군은 향후 정기적인 수질 점검과 환경정비를 통해 깨끗하고 안전한 약수터 유지에 힘쓸 계획이다
이재영 군수는 “두타산 약수터는 주민들이 자연 속에서 휴식을 취하며 건강을 챙길 수 있는 소중한 공간이 될 것”이라며 “생활환경 개선은 곧 지역의 품격을 높이는 일인 만큼 군민 체감도가 높은 생활밀착형 산림정책을 꾸준히 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
