고양특례시는 26일 시청 열린시장실에서 직장운동경기부 소속 김아랑(쇼트트랙) 선수와 이아름(태권도) 선수의 고별 행사를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 고양시청 소속으로 활약하며 국내외 무대에서 우수한 성적을 거두고 시민들에게 큰 감동을 선사한 두 선수의 공로를 기리기 위해 마련됐다.
이동환 시장은 직접 공로패를 전달하며 그동안의 헌신과 노고에 깊은 감사를 전했다.
김아랑 선수는 2018년 고양시청 입단 이후 국가대표로 꾸준히 활약하며 2018 평창올림픽 금메달, 2022 베이징올림픽 은메달, 그리고 유니버시아드 2관왕 등의 세계 정상급 성적을 기록했다.
특히 여자 3,000m 계주 종목에서 뛰어난 경기력과 투혼을 보여주었다.
이아름 선수는 2015년부터 고양시청을 대표해 2018 자카르타-팔렘방 아시안게임 은메달 등 국제대회에서 우수한 기량으로 팀 위상을 높이며 태권도 분야에서 활약했다.
