파주시가 지역 농산물 유통과 식생활 문화 확산의 거점이 될 '파주로컬푸드 복합센터' 건립에 속도를 내고 있다.
파주시는 26일 와동동 1415번지 일원 건립 현장에서 상량식을 개최하고 건물의 주요 골격이 완성됐음을 대외에 알렸다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 김경일 파주시장을 비롯해 박대성 파주시의회 의장, 시의원, 지역 농협 조합장, 농업인 단체장, 지역 주민 대표 등 주요 관계자들이 대거 참석했다.
행사의 하이라이트는 전통 상량(上梁) 의식이었다.
내빈들이 누름 단추를 작동하자 센터의 지붕을 받칠 거대한 강철 대들보인 H빔이 기중기를 타고 힘차게 하늘로 올라갔다.
참석자들은 H빔이 건물 최상부에 안전하게 안착되는 모습을 지켜보며 공사의 무사 완공을 기원하는 박수를 보냈다.
파주로컬푸드 복합센터는 대지면적 약 1만㎡, 연면적 1,973㎡ 규모로 조성된다.

시는 지난 7월 착공한 이후 기초 및 토목 공사를 완료했으며, 현재 공정률 30%를 기록하고 있다.
이번 상량을 기점으로 건물의 뼈대가 완성됨에 따라 앞으로 내외부 마감 및 설비 공사를 본격 추진해 2026년 9월 준공한다는 계획이다.
