충북개인택시 운송사업조합 음성군지부는 지난 2018년 첫 기탁을 시작으로 현재까지 총 1375만원의 장학금을 (재)음성군장학회에 전달하며 지역 인재 육성에 힘써왔다.
또한 2023년에는 원남면지역사회보장협의체, (자)음성택시와 업무협약을 체결해 저소득 노인을 위한 교통편의 지원 사업을 추진하는 등 지역사회 상생 발전에 앞장서고 있다.
최덕진 지부장은 “관내 개인택시 종사자들이 매년 1만 원씩 모아 마련한 장학금이 500만 원을 넘어 기탁하게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “무한한 가능성을 가진 지역 인재들이 경제적 어려움 없이 꿈을 펼치길 바란다”고 말했다.
조병옥 이사장은 “따뜻한 마음으로 정성을 모아 주신 데 감사드린다”며 “기탁해 주신 뜻을 살려 미래 음성을 이끌 인재들이 마음껏 성장할 수 있도록 양질의 장학사업으로 보답하겠다”고 밝혔다.
