이번 기탁은 2018년과 2023년에 이은 세 번째 장학금 기탁으로, 지역 인재 육성을 위한 바르게살기운동 증평군지부의 꾸준한 나눔 실천이 이어지고 있다.
연병석 회장은 “지역 학생들이 더 많은 교육 기회를 누릴 수 있도록 돕는 것은 지역사회의 중요한 책임”이라며 “이번 장학금이 학생들의 꿈을 키우는 데 작게나마 힘이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

이번 기탁금은 18~39세 지역 청년들로 구성된 증평청년네트워크가 지난해 인삼골축제에 자발적으로 참여해 부스를 운영하며 얻은 수익금으로 마련됐다.
엄재헌 위원장은 “청년들이 함께 땀 흘려 만든 작은 결실이 지역 후배들의 꿈을 키우는 데 보탬이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역과 함께 성장하는 청년 활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 증평청년네트워크는 이번 장학금 기탁뿐만 아니라 2026학년도 수능시험장을 찾아 수험생들에게 응원꾸러미를 전달하는 등 현장 응원 활동에도 적극적으로 나서며 지역 청년조직으로서의 역할을 넓혀가고 있다.
