‘옥천군 신활력플러스 지원사업’은 2022년 농림축산식품부 공모사업에 선정된 사업으로, 2022년부터 2026년까지 5년간 총 70억원의 사업비를 들여 옥천푸드행복센터 조성, 주민 역량강화 프로그램 운영, 주민 먹거리 프로그램 지원 등 다양한 사업을 추진했다.
특히 이날 준공식을 진행한 주민공동이용시설인 옥천푸드행복센터는 684.57㎡ 규모로 공용주방, 다목적회의실, 강의실 등을 조성하여 주민들의 먹거리의 거점 기능을 하면서 지역의 로컬푸드의 중추적인 역할을 할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
준공식에는 군 관계자와 주교종 신활력플러스 추진단장을 비롯해 내빈과 주민 등 80여명이 참석했으며 공로패 수여, 테이프 커팅식 등을 함께하며 옥천군 옥천푸드행복센터 준공을 축하했다.
