KBIOHealth는 지난 2월, 도내 제약·바이오, 의료기기, 화장품 및 연관 기업을 대상으로 ‘충청북도 바이오헬스 기업 현황 조사’를 실시했다. 이번 조사는 공공데이터와 온라인 포털을 활용한 교차 검증을 통해 총 200개소의 현황을 집계했으며, 정밀한 분석을 위해 동일 기업이라도 소재지가 다를 경우 개별 사업소로 분류해 조사의 정확도를 높였다.
조사 결과, 제약·바이오(37%)와 화장품(30.5%) 산업이 지역 바이오헬스 산업 전체의 절반 이상을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 기업 규모별로는 중소기업이 71%로 대다수를 차지했으며 중견기업(24.5%)과 대기업(4.5%)이 그 뒤를 이었다.
