영동군, 필리핀 두마게티시 공무원 초청연수 진행

【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군은 국외 자매도시인 필리핀 두마게티시 공무원 1명을 대상으로 「외국 지방공무원 초청 연수사업(K2H)」을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 

K2H 프로그램은 대한민국시도지사협의회가 주관하는 국제교류 사업으로, 한국과 해외 지방정부 간 상호 이해와 우호 증진을 목적으로 운영되고 있다. 

영동군은 6개월의 기본 연수에 4개월의 자체 연수를 추가해 총 10개월간(2월 27일~12월 26일) 연수를 진행할 예정으로, 연수생은 한국의 지방행정 전반에 대한 체계적인 교육과 함께 한국어 교육 및 한국문화 체험 프로그램에 참여하게 된다.

이번 연수에 참여하는 필리핀 두마게티시 지역사회 협력담당관 펠리페 마리아노 레몰로(Felipe Mariano Remollo) 씨는 2024년과 2025년에 이어 올해 세 번째 영동군 K2H 연수에 참여하게 됐으며, 그간 영동군과 두마게티시 간 가교 역할을 수행하며 특히 외국인 계절근로자 운영 지원에 크게 기여해 왔다. 레몰로 씨는 “두마게티시 계절근로자들이 한국에서 안정적으로 근무하고 있으며, 매년 참여 인원이 증가하고 있어 매우 뜻깊다”며 “올해 279명의 계절근로자가 한국 생활에 잘 적응하고 목표를 달성한 뒤 안전하게 귀국할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

영동군은 올해 필리핀 두마게티시 계절근로자를 포함해 농가형 282명, 다문화형 396명, 공공형 30명 등 총 708명의 외국인 계절근로자를 도입할 계획이다. 특히 올해는 국외 우호도시 몽골 칭겔테이구의 근로자 1명, 몽골 사인샨드시의 근로자 2명을 시범 운영할 예정이다. 

군 관계자는 “앞으로도 국외 자매·우호도시와의 교류를 확대해 국제 네트워크를 강화하고, 계절근로자 제도를 지속적으로 확대해 농촌 인력난 해소와 농업 경쟁력 제고에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
