이날 교육에는 포도연합회 신규 인증 희망 농가와 복숭아연합회 신규 회원, 안내면 사과작목반 등 지역 농업인들이 대거 참석했다. 국립농산물품질관리원 충북지원 옥천사무소 전문가가 강사로 나서 ▲GAP 인증 제도 및 절차 ▲농약허용기준강화제도(PLS) ▲토양·용수 관리 등 농가 실무에 필수적인 내용을 심도 있게 다뤘다.
특히, 농약 안전사용 기준과 현장 실천 요령 등 농업인이 현장에서 즉각 활용할 수 있는 실무 중심의 교육과 질의응답이 이어져 참석자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
군 관계자는 “농업인이 안전한 먹거리 생산에만 전념할 수 있도록 정책적 지원과 인프라 구축에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 옥천군은 앞으로도 GAP 인증 확대, 농산물 안전성 분석 지원, 위생시설 보완 사업 등을 지속적으로 추진해 ‘옥천 농산물’의 브랜드 가치를 높이고 소비자 신뢰를 선점해 나갈 방침이다.
