올해로 4년 차를 맞이한 이 사업은 지자체 최초로 환경교육 전문 인력을 학교 현장에 배치해 실천 중심의 생태전환교육을 시행하는 용인시의 핵심 환경 사업이다. 시는 2023년부터 공모를 통해 참여 학교를 선정해 왔으며 현재 총 12개교가 사업에 참여하고 있다. 올해 용인 지역에서는 343학급 9,149명의 학생이 체계적인 환경교육을 받고 있어 현장 중심 교육으로서 높은 평가를 받고 있다.
