대구 중·남구 국회의원 보궐선거에 출마한 도태우 예비후보가 6·25호국정신현양특별법을 발의 공약을 발표했다.
도태우 예비후보는 13일 대한민국 6·25참전유공자회 남구지회를 방문하고 6·25호국정신현양특별법을 발의할 것을 공약했다.

도 예비후보는 “5·18특별법, 4·3특별법, 세월호특별법까지 만들어져 있지만, 우리나라를 존망의 위기에서 구해낸 6·25호국정신을 기리고 현양하는 법률은 아직까지 제정되어 있지 않다”며 목소리를 높였다.
하점석 지회장은 참전 유공자들이 고령으로 연이어 사망하고 있는 현실을 안타까워 하며 “선진국일수록 참전 유공자들에 대한 예우에 각별히 신경쓴다”고 말했다.
이에 도 예비후보는 “국가와 국민 개개인의 오늘을 있게 한 바탕인 6·25 호국 역사를 더 연구하고 더 잘 교육하려 애쓰지 못해 오늘날 국가 위기가 초래되었다”면서 “지금부터라도 세계사의 큰 분수령인 6·25의 진실을 연구 확산하고, 정당한 지원이 이루어지도록 만반의 활동을 하겠다”는 약속을 전했다.
