경일대학교(총장 정현태) 학생들이 ‘제주 관광 활성화를 위한 콘텐츠 활용 창업경진 대회’에 참여해 수상의 영예를 안았다.
교육부와 한국연구재단이 주최한 이번 대회는 지난 12일부터 14일까지 제주관광대학교에서 진행되었다.

해당 대회에는 경일대, 동명대, 동아대, 배재대, 제주관광대, 한국해양대 등 6개 대학에서 23개팀이 참여한 가운데 경일대학교에서는 LINC+ 사업단의 지원을 받은 2개 팀이 참여해 전원 수상의 쾌거를 이루어 눈길을 끌었다.
코로나19로 경제적 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역 자영업자와 소상공인들을 돕기 위해 개최된 이번 대회는 참여 대학생들이 관광 명소를 직접 취재하고 콘텐츠를 제작해 ‘대학몰’과 연계하여 홍보 활동을 펼쳐 그 성과를 평가했다.
이를 통해 열정상을 받은 스토리(STORY, 뷰티학과 4학년 여민지·경찰학과 4학년 김나현)팀은 ‘제주 최초, 국내 최초’라는 주제로 국내에서 최초로 그래비티 레이싱 카트를 체험할 수 있는 ‘9.81 파크’를 소개했다.
우수상을 받은 포어스(For us, 뷰티학과 3학년 라예빈·이진솔)팀은 ‘교감하다, 공감하다’라는 주제로 동물들과의 교감을 통해 친구, 연인, 가족들이 공감할 수 있는 장소 선정으로 ‘도치돌알파카목장’을 소개했다.
김현우 경일대 링크플러스사업단장은 “학생들이 직접 관광지 및 맛집을 선정하고 관광 콘텐츠를 계획했다”며 “이 과정에서 소상공인과 청년기업들의 노력과 애환을 하나의 콘텐츠에 담아내기 위해 노력한 학생들의 모습을 보며 대견스러웠고 아울러 지역 경제 활성화에 도움을 줄 것이라 생각된다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.
