이종열 경상북도의회 의원(기획경제위원회, 영양)이 ‘2022 위대한 한국인 대상’ 시상식에서 지방자치부문 최우수 의정대상을 수상했다.

의정대상을 수상한 이종열 의원은 경상북도의회 제11대 전반기 기획경제위원회 부위원장, 예산결산특별위원회 부위원장을 역임하였으며, 후반기 기획경제위원회 위원으로 ‘경상북도 연구개발장비 공동활용 조례’, ‘경상북도 농산물 정보기반 생산 및 유통활성화 지원 조례’, ‘경북도립대학교 운영 조례 일부개정조례’, ‘경상북도 에너지 조례’, ‘경상북도 산림문화 휴양에 관한 조례’, ‘ 등을 대표 발의하여 지역경제 및 관광산업 발전에 앞장서오고 있다.
아울러 본회의 5분 자유발언에서 대구·경북 통합신공항 이전지 선정과정에서 경상북도의 부실한 대응 및 통합신공항 조기 추진을 촉구 하였으며, 도정질문을 통해서 10년째 제자리걸음인 남북 6축 고속도로의 조기 추진을 위해 차기 대선에서 예타 면제 공약에 포함될 수 있도록 집행부의 독려하는 등 지역현안 사업 해결을 위해 최선을 다하고 있으며, 지역 현장에서 주민과의 소통, 화합을 통한 현장 중심의 의정활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있다.
이종열 의원은 “평소 아낌없는 응원과 격려를 해주신 도민들이 있기에 이런 큰 상을 수상할 수 있었다.” 면서, “앞으로도 도민의 입장에서 도민들에게 필요한 정책 개발에 힘쓰겠다.”고 수상소감을 밝혔다.
