대구대학교가 2022학년도 예비 신입생 30명을 대상으로 ‘프리패스(Pre-pass) DU 예비대학 캠프’를 열었다.
지난 14일부터 17일까지 3박 4일간 경산캠퍼스 행복기숙사 및 단과대학(ACE라운지)에서 진행된 이번 예비대학 캠프는 교육부의 ‘고교교육 기여대학 지원사업’의 일환으로 대구대에 입학 예비 신입생들의 학업 적응력을 향상시키고, 흥미·적성·진로에 대한 교육으로 미래비전을 설계하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사는 대구·경북을 포함한 전국 지역에서의 고교생들로부터 사전 신청을 받아 2022학년도 고른기회전형, 농어촌학생 특별전형, 기회균형전형에 지원한 입학생 30명이 참가했다.
참가자들은 △기초학업능력 향상을 위한 글쓰기 기초 프로그램 △외국인 교수로부터 배우는 기초 영어 및 실용 회화 프로그램 △선배 재학생과 함께 대학 생활에 필요한 유익한 정보를 공유하는 멘토링 프로그램 등에 참여했다. 이들은 30시간 이수를 통해 2학점을 부여받게 되며 대학 생활을 미리 체험해보는 시간을 가졌다.
캠프에 참가한 김채원 학생(경산 영남삼육고 3)은 “외국인 교수님과 영어 회화를 하며 재밌고 유익한 시간을 보냈다”면서 “흥미로웠던 글쓰기 기초수업에서는 고등학교 때 보다 더 구체적이고 세심한 부분까지 배우게 돼 매우 뿌듯했다”고 소감을 말했다.
