대경대학교(총장 이채영)가 중소벤처기업부가 주관하는 ‘2022년 창업중심대학 지원사업’의 대구경북권 창업중심대학(대구대학교) 협력대학으로 선정되었다.
창업중심대학 지원사업은 대학을 K-유니콘 기업의 산실로 육성하기 위해 대학 내부의 창업 열기를 대학 밖으로 확산하고 창업 초기 단계에 집중 된 청년 창업생태계를 개선하는 사업이다.

해당 사업의 대구경북권 창업중심대학으로 대구대학교가 선정된 가운데 21일 대경대학교는 협력대학에 선정되었다는 소식을 전했다.
앞으로 지역 창업문화 확산과 학생 창업자 발굴 및 육성을 위한 다양한 창업프로그램을 창업중심대학과 공동 운영할 예정이며, 향후 5년간 중소벤처기업부 창업중심대학 협력대학으로서 사업에 참여 할 예정이다.
대경대학교 이채영 총장은 “창업중심대학 협력대학 선정을 계기로 우리 대학 재학생 및 지역 청년들이 적극적으로 창업할 수 있는 환경을 조성할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 밝혔다.
