세웅병원이 경북 울진‧강원 삼척 등 산불 피해복구에 1천350만원을 기부했다.
희망브리지는 세웅병원 전 직원이 이재민의 생계 지원과 소방 관계자들을 돕는 데에 사용해달라며 1천350만원을 맡겨왔다고 18일 밝혔다.
세웅병원 관계자는 “코로나19 장기화로 의료진들이 힘이 들 때 응원해주시고 도움을 주신 많은 분 덕분에 지금까지 올 수 있었다”며 “받은 사랑에 보답하고자 적지만 보탬이 되기를 바라는 마음으로 성금을 모으게 됐다”고 말했다.
부산시 금정구 소재 세웅병원은 1970년 개원해 지역 의료를 선도해왔으며, 코로나19 선별진료소와 치료전담병원을 운영 중이다.
재난 구호모금 전문기관인 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회는 1961년 전국의 신문사와 방송사, 사회단체가 힘을 모아 설립한 순수 민간단체이자 국내 자연재해 피해 구호금을 지원할 수 있는 유일한 법정 구호단체다.
60년 동안 1조5천억 원의 성금과 6천만 점 넘는 구호물품을 지원했다. 특히 지난해 코로나19 극복 성금 1천8억 원을 모금해 3천7백만 점 가까운 물품을 방역 취약계층과 의료진, 치료시설 입소자 등에게 전달했다.

Hope Bridge announced on the 18th that all employees of Sewoong Hospital had entrusted them with 13.5 million won to support the livelihood of the victims and to help the firefighters.
An official from Sewoong Hospital said, "I was able to come this far thanks to the many people who cheered and helped the medical staff when they were having a hard time due to the prolonged Corona 19." said
Sewoong Hospital, located in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, opened in 1970 and has been leading local medical care.
Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, an organization specializing in disaster relief funds, is a purely private organization established in 1961 by newspapers, broadcasters, and social groups across the country, and is the only legal relief organization that can support relief funds from natural disasters in Korea.
For 60 years, it has donated 1.5 trillion won and provided more than 60 million relief items. In particular, last year, it raised 180 billion won to overcome COVID-19 and delivered close to 37 million items to vulnerable groups, medical staff, and residents of treatment facilities.
