[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남경찰청은 통영 욕지도에서 국산 헬기인 참수리 헬기(KUH-1P)와 최첨단 경찰 드론을 이용해 초·중학생 대상 직업진로체험 및 학교폭력 사고예방을 실시했다고 1일 밝혔다.
경남경찰청에 따르면 평소 문화와 단절돼 있는 섬마을 학생들을 대상으로 직업진로체험 및 학교폭력 사고예방 교육을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
섬마을 치안현장에 긴급상황이 발생할 경우를 대비해 경찰 헬기 및 경찰 드론의 공조를 통해 신속·효율적으로 투입될 수 있는 실전훈련도 실시했다.
이번 체험 및 교육은 통영교육지원청 관계자들과 욕지중학교와 원량초등학교 학생 62명이 참여한 가운데 진행됐다.
경남경찰청 박창래 항공대장은 "학생들이 이번 경찰 헬기 및 경찰 드론 체험을 통해 항공분야의 직업을 이해하고 자신의 특성과 적성에 맞는 진로를 찾는 계기 됐으면 좋겠고 앞으로도 오늘과 같은 뜻깊은 행사를 매년 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
