먼저 지난 대선에서 두 사람의 공과를 따지자면, 이준석은 20대 남자 여가부 폐지 등 성별 갈라치기로 쇄신이란 명분을 내세웠지만, 그 반발 표심에 갈등만 키웠으니 당락에 큰 기여를 하지 못한 게 사실이다. 이에 반하여 안철수는 중도 외연 확장에 영향을 끼쳐 0.7%라는 초박빙의 신승을 거두게 한 공로가 있음은 주지의 사실이다.
주군이 십상시와 최순실 등 허수아비 무리가 챙겨준 연설원고를 읽는 동안 이준석은 박 정권의 일등 공신으로 추대되어 하급 사기꾼 건설업자의 성접대 20여회를 받은 것에 대해 국힘 윤리회에서 당원권 정지 6개월이란 징계를 받아 사실상 주홍글씨를 받아 정치적으로 생명이 끝났다는 평이다. 이 사실은 쇠 수세미로 가슴을 생채기 내고 20년 간 와신상담한다고 해서 용서받을 사안이 아니다. 엄밀히 말하면 국태민안에 사용하란 권한을 술과 여자와 돈의 유혹에 부응하여 개인적 일탈, 그것도 20여회에 걸친 상습적인 사치향락에 대가성 서약서까지 주고받은 사실은 생계에 신음하는 대다수 국민의 분노에 기름만 붓는 격이니 홍준표 대구시장의 고언을 곱씹고 땅바닥을 기는 견마지로 행이 답이다.

이에 반하여 세기적 풍운아 안철수는 윤석열 정부의 일등 공신으로서 벌써 세미나에 사오십 명의 의원들이 떼뭉쳐 다니며 눈도장 찍기에 여념이 없다. ‘성공한 쿠데타는 합법적 정부를 꾸릴 권한과 자격이 있다.’라던 고 전두환 장군의 궤변을 넘어 ‘'피'한 방울 안 흘리고 현 정권의 당대표를 거쳐 차기 정권의 대선주자로서 우뚝 서게 됐으니, ’안철수의 변신은 무죄다‘라고 세간의 주객들의 무르팍을 치게 생겼으니 행운아 반열에 이미 오른 건 주지의 사실이다.
게다가 PK 출신으로서 차기 총선-대선에서 영향력 확대는 쉬워 보이고 부산 출신 대통령이란 슬로건은 김영삼 이후 납작 엎드려 있던 세력까지 합세하여 영남 대통합이란 지역성 조장 선거전에서도 크게 유리하게 작용할 것이다.
문제는 수구 보수화되어 부자 감세 서민 증세로 치닫는 현 정부의 대변자로 전락하면 안철수가 가진 인물 자질론은 한방에 꺼질 위험성도 내포되어 있어 당내 반발을 물리치고 새로운 비전을 제시할 그의 지도력 결단심에 대권 향방이 달려 있음을 알아야 한다.
우선 검찰공화국으로 치닫는 윤석열 정부에서 ’법만 있고 경제는 없다‘는 세간의 비아냥과 반발을 어떻게 무마하고 백약이 무효한 현 서민경제를 살릴 것인가? 시점은 안철수가 당대표가 되고 난 후부터일 것인데, 급격한 쇄신과 개혁이 뒤따르지 못하고 ’그 밥에 그 나물‘이란 평을 들으면 이미지를 스스로가 훼손하여 대권 군에서 멀어지는 악수(惡手)를 자초할 어려움도 기다리고 있다.
또한 당무 6개월 정지 후 이준석이 복귀할 경우는 셈법이 복잡해진다. 무수한 공격을 받고 2024년 4월까지 이준석이 당대표를 고집한다 해도 안철수로선 그리 시기적으로 불리하지 않다. 이이제이(以夷制夷)로 무주공산이 될 차기 당대표 직행 후 지지기반 세력 확장 2년 후 대권주자로 직행하는 것도 무난한 기회다.
유랑 끝에 모처럼 얻은 국힘이라는 대목(臺木)을 만나 천재일우 삽목(揷木)의 기회를 얻어 꽃과 열매를 맺을 스스로 피우고 거둘수 있은까? 김종인 박사가 얘기한 ’별의 기회‘를 얻은 셈이다.
집권당이 전임 정권의 임명직 인사들을 나가라고 윽박지르고, 3년이나 지난 북한 동포 16명 살인범 둘을 판문점으로 돌려보낸 것을 두고 국정원장 통일부 장관 나아가 문재인 전 대통령까지 반인륜범으로 몰아세우려는 시도에 대해 통일대통령으로서 안철수는 답해야 한다.
국내법으론 북한은 ’한반도와 그 부속 도서를 영토로 한다‘라는 측면에선 국내법을 적용해 처벌해야 맞고, UN에 각각 독자 국가로서 가입한 사실을 직시하면 국제법을 적용 암묵적으로 범죄인 인도 조항을 적용 북한으로 보내는 것이 맞다. 전자는 북한을 흡수통일하겠다는 저의가 깔린 대결적 구도의 산물이고, 후자는 엄존하는 국제적으로 인정받고 있는 자주 국가로서의 의미인데 현 정부는 살인범, 그것도 한 마을 한 직장 전체 인원을 살해한 살인마들에게까지 정착금과 직장지원을 해서 품어야 하는가에 대한 비뚤어진 도덕과 인륜을 깔고 있다.
현 정부가 과거털이로 한 세월을 보낼 모양인데, 적어도 대한민국의 차기 대통령과 경제전문가로서 식견을 가진 안철수라면 적어도 이런 상황에 쾌도난마의 해석과 판단이 요구된다.

친윤(親尹)이 이준석을 날리고 있으니, 밥값 하는 차원에서 친정의 우물에 침을 뱉지 못할 것이다. 계속 간만 보다가는 다시 간철수로 낙인찍혀 선수교체의 대상이 될 수 있음도 분명하다. 이에 안철수는 신북풍몰이에 몰두해있는 현 정권의 수혜자로서 화이부동(和而不同)의 가르마 탈 일에 몸을 사려선 안 될 일이다. samsohun@naver.com
