브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한동훈 법무부 장관은 최근 검찰이 문재인 정부를 겨냥한 수사를 하고 있다는 지적에 "정상적인 수사"라며 지난 정권 초반 적폐 수사와 비교하면 "10분의 1도 되지 않는다"고 맞받아쳤다.
한동훈 장관은 22일 국회에서 열린 국회 법제사법위원회 전체회의에 참석해 "지금 진행되고 있는 검찰 수사들은 과거처럼 청와대 캐비닛을 뒤지거나 그런 게 아니기 때문에 정상적인 수사를 하는 것"이라고 밝혔다.
현재 서울중앙지방검찰청은 서해 피살 공무원 사건, 탈북어민 강제북송 사건, 경기도 대장동 개발비리 사건, 민주당 전 지역위원장의 불법 정치자금 수수 의혹 등을 수사하고 있다.
김의겸 의원은 이 자리에서 "서울중앙지검만 6개 부서, 전국에 걸치면 거의 100명이 넘는 검사들이 문재인 정부를 겨냥해 수사를 하고 있다"면서 "거의 모든 수사 역량이 전 정부, 속된 말로 죽은 고기를 먹는 하이에나와 같은 수사만 하고 있다"고 지적했다.
김 의원은 "검찰이 제대로 된 수사를 하려면 최소한 균형은 잡아야 하지 않겠느냐"면서 윤석열 대통령 내외와 친분이 많다는 '건진법사'의 이권 개입 의혹에 대해서도 수사가 필요하다고 주장했다.
이에 대해 한동훈 장관은 "검찰이 지금 어떤 정치적 의도를 가지고 수사하고 있는 건 당연히 아니다"라며 "지난 정부부터 수사해 온 것이고, 새로 발굴한 수사가 전혀 아니다"라고 강조했다.
또한 건진법사에 대해선 "잘 모르는 사람"이라며 "검찰 수사에 제가 구체적으로 개입하지 않아서 모르지만 문제가 있다면 당연히 수사할 것"이라고 했다.
