브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한동훈 법무부장관은 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 검찰 소환 조사에 대해 "이건 전쟁이 아닌 범죄 수사"라고 말했다.
한동훈 장관은 5일 국회 예산결산특별위원회 비경제부처 대상 전체회의 출석하기 전 기자들과 만나 이 대표의 검찰 소환에 대한 입장을 묻자 이같이 답했다.
한 장관은 "대한민국 전국에 똑같은 선거법 위반 범죄 혐의로 수사받은 사람이 많다"며 "이건 전쟁이 아니고 범죄 수사"라고 강조했다.
그는 "범죄 수사를 받는 사람들은 여러 가지 말로 자기방어를 하는 것은 자연스러운 일"이라며 이재명 대표 측에서 전쟁이라고 표현한데 대해 "잘못된 건 아니다. 그렇게 때문에 법무장관으로서 제가 더 특별히 드릴 말은 없다"고 했다.
이어 그는 '이재명 대표측에서 불출석 가능성을 검토하고 있다'는 질문에 대해선 "출석에 응하는 것은 자유다. 구체적인 사안에 대해 제가 평가할 사안은 아닌 것 같다"고 답했다.
한동훈 장관은 또한 조국 전 법무장관의 아내 정경심씨의 형집행정지 신청과 관련해선 "통상 있는 사법 시스템 중 하나"라며 "힘있는 사람들만 할 수 있는 압력이나 아쉬운 소리가 통하지 않아야 정상적인 사법 시스템이라 생각한다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "(정경심씨에 대한 형집행정지는) 다른 국민과 마찬가지로 독립된 형 집행 정지 심의위원회에서 판단할 문제다. 심의위에는 전문가들이 포진해 있고 그들이 독립적으로 잘 결정할 것이라 생각한다"고 덧붙였다.
그는 이와함께 야당에서 김건희 여사 특검법 추진을 검토하는데 대해선 "그 상황에 대해서 잘 알지 못한다"며 즉답을 피했다.
