파주시 위탁도서관(느티나무재단)에서 국립중앙도서관이 주최한 '제16회 도서관 혁신 아이디어 및 우수 현장사례 공모'에서 문화체육관광부 장관상인 우수상을 수상했다.
도서관 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 다양한 현장사례와 아이디어를 발굴 및 보급하기 위해 매년 공모전이 개최되고 있으며, 올해 공모전은 ‘정보통신기술(ICT)의 융합으로 이루어지는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도서관’ 등을 주제로 열렸다.

우수상을 수상한 ‘메타버스 정보활용교육을 시작하시겠습니까?:제페토를 활용한 정보활용교육 기획 협력사례’는 파주시 위탁도서관에서 어린이를 대상으로 한 도서관 정보활용교육 프로그램 중 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 새로운 운영방식을 인정받았다.
코로나19 팬데믹으로 급격하게 떠오른 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용해 게임과 접목한 도서관 정보활용 프로그램을 사서들이 직접 프로그램 기획과 제페토 앱 개발까지 참여했으며, 가상의 공간에서 시공간에 구애받지 않고 즐길 수 있어 좋은 반응을 얻었다.
시상식은 연말 국립중앙도서관 협력세미나에서 열리며, 상금과 함께 수여된다.
