제3회 전국동시조합장선거의 위법행위를 예방하고 단속할 ‘우리동네 지킴이’위촉식이 9일 있었다.
세종시선거관리위원회는 이날 오전 세종시선관위 2층 대회의실에서 읍.면선거관리위원회 위원장 10명을 ‘우리동네 지킴이’로 위촉했다.
이날 회의는 ▲‘우리동네 지킴이’위촉 ▲‘돈 선거’근절을 위한 주요 활동 안내 ▲ 공명선거 실천 결의대회 순으로 진행했다.
앞서 선관위는 중대선거범죄 예방 및 신고.제보 활성화를 위해 9개 조합 전 조합원 대상 신고.안내문과 위탁선거법 위반행위 신고서를 우편발송했다. 이후 선거인명부가 확정되면 선거인 대상 투표안내문과 동봉해 한 차례 더 발송할 예정이다.
또, 조합원의 왕래가 잦은 각 농협 및 마을 입구 등에 과태료와 포상금 제도를 홍보하는 현수막을 게시했다.
이와함께 조합 순회 릴레이 결의대회, 신고.제보 리플릿 배부 및 문자 메시지 전송 등 다양한 활동을 전개중이다.
선거법은 금품이나 음식물 등을 제공받은 사람에게는 최고 3천만 원의 범위에서 50배 이하의 과태료를 부과하되 자수한 사람에게는 과태료를 적극 감면하고, 위법행위 신고자에게는 최고 3억 원의 포상금을 지급한다.
세종시선관위 관계자는" 조합장선거의 돈선거 근절을 위해 조합, 관계 기관, 조합원 모두의 적극적인 협조"를 당부했다.
