군포시 중앙도서관이 문화체육관광부가 주최하고 한국도서관협회가 주관하는 2023년 도서관 ‘길 위의 인문학’ 공모사업에 선정됐다고 지난 3월 20일 밝혔다.
‘길 위의 인문학’ 사업은 도서관을 활용해 인문 가치를 체험 할 수 있는 인문프로그램을 운영하여 지역주민에게 인문 향유 기회를 확대하고 생활 속 인문 정신문화 가치를 확산하기 위한 사업으로 전액 국비로 운영된다.
군포시는 인문과 역사, 글쓰기 등이 결합된 프로그램으로 신청한 2개 부문이 모두 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다.
선정된 주제는 먼저 자유기획형인 ‘예술을 통해 삶을 들여다보다’라는 프로그램으로 패션과 미술 분야 속 예술가들의 삶을 재조명하는 시간을 마련한다. 참여형 부문으로는 ‘다시 한 번 피어나는 군포설화’라는 주제로 군포지역 설화를 발굴하여 재창작함으로써 지역성과 문학성 그리고 지역에 얽힌 역사성까지 함께 공유하고 성찰 할 수 있는 기회를 갖고자 한다.
손병석 도서관정책과장은 “시민들에게 다양한 인문 프로그램을 제공하여 문화욕구 수요를 충족시키고 더불어 우리 지역에 대한 정체성을 찾을 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다”며 “길 위의 인문학 사업에 시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다“고 말했다.
