세종교육청이 5일 36학급 이상 과대학교에 2명 이상의 보건교사 배치를 앞두고 운영 설명회를 가졌다.

시교육청은 이날 청사 4층 대회의실에서 27개교에 대비치 될 보건교사 54명을 대상으로 학교별 보건실 운영현황, 교사 간의 협력 방안 등에 대해 설명했다.

또 과대학교 보건교사 2인 배치 시작 단계로서 보건교사 2인 배치의 취지를 설명하고, 개선 방안에 대해 논의했다.

이번 보건교사 배치는 지난 2021년 12월 대통령령으로 정하는 일정 규모 이상의 학교에 보건교사를 2인 이상 배치해야 한다는 내용의 학교보건법 개정안이 국회를 통과한 데 따른 후속 조치다

세종교육청 박점순 학교안전과장은 “자라나는 청소년기의 건강은 그 무엇보다 중요하다”라며, “과대학교 보건교사 2인 배치가 보건교육과 학생 건강관리에 어려움을 해소하고, 학생들의 건강권을 보장할 수 있는 제도로 안착되길 바란다”라고 말했다.
