세종시의 첫 번째 관광호텔이 문을 열고 본격 운영에 들어갔다.
세종시 첫 관광호텔인 ‘코트야드 바이 메리어트 호텔’은 지난 11일 어진동 호텔에서 최민호 세종시장, 상병헌 세종시의회 의장, 메리어트 한국 필리핀 대표 등 관계자 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 개장식을 가졌다.
이날 개장한 코트야드 바이 메리어트 호텔은 지상 20층 지하 3층 규모의 객실 281실과 레스토랑, 연회장, 미팅룸, 체력단련센터, 휴게실, 커피숍 등 시설을 갖추고 있다.
세종시는 첫 관광호텔이 개장하면서 관내 관광지를 찾는 관광객이나 2027하계세계대학경기대회 등 방문객들의 숙박수요를 일정 부분 해소할 수 있을 것으로 내다보고 있다.
