세종시가 코로나19 고위험군을 대상으로 2가백신을 활용한 추가접종을 15일부터 시행한다고 밝혔다.
세종시의 이 같은 추가접종 계획은 지난 10일 질병관리청이 최근 방역상황 및 백신의 효과성, 면역유지기간 등을 고려해 ‘2023년 상반기 코로나19 고위험군 추가접종 계획’을 발표하면서 시행하게 됐다.
접종 대상은 12세 이상 면역저하자이면서 지난 동절기 추가접종 때 2가백신을 접종한 사람이 해당되고. 면역저하자는 항암치료를 받고 있거나 면역억제제를 복용 중인 경우, 조혈모세포 이식후 2년 이내인 환자, 일차(선천) 면역결핍증, 고용량 코르티코스테로이드 또는 면역을 억제 약물로 치료중인 경우 등이다.
또한, 이전에 2가백신을 접종한 65세 이상 어르신 중에서 기저질환과 나이 등을 고려하여 의료진으로부터 추가접종을 권고받은 경우에도 이번 접종에 참여할 수 있다.
접종 백신은 ‘BA.4/5 기반 2가백신’(화이자·모더나)을 우선 권고하며, 접종자 의사에 따라 ‘BA.1 기반 2가백신’(화이자·모더나)’ 또는 ‘유전자재조합백신’(스카이코비원, 노바백스)으로도 접종할 수 있다.
세종시는 마지막 접종일로부터 3개월(90일) 이후부터 접종이 가능하나 6개월(180일) 이후에 접종할 것을 권고하고, 올해 동절기 접종과의 간격을 고려하여 가급적 6월 30일까지 접종을 받는 것이 좋다고 설명했다.
