이은결의 26년 마술 내공이 총집약된 국내 최대 스케일의 퍼포먼스 ‘이은결의 더 일루션’은 전국에서 최고 인기를 누리는 마술 퍼포먼스이다. 100년간 마술사(史)에서 가장 영향력 있는 사람 중 하나로 꼽히는 돈 웨인이 아트디렉터로 참여해 작품의 예술성과 완성도를 세계적 수준으로 끌어올렸다.
올해 ‘이은결 더 일루션’은 티켓 오픈 2시간 만에 3회차 전석이 매진돼 공연 전부터 기대치가 높았고 이틀 3회차의 공연에는 세대, 성별 불문 600여 관객이 객석을 빈틈없이 채우며 뜨거운 호응을 쏟아냈다.
공연을 접한 영덕 영해면 주민은 "잊지 못할 환상적인 공연이었고 이런 초대형 무대를 자주 접하며 문화생활을 즐기고 싶다’며 공연의 감동과 바람을 함께 전했다.
이번 ‘이은결 더 일루션’은‘영덕 울진 이웃 사이 문화예술 공연’의 일환으로 진행된 프로그램이다. 영덕 울진 이웃사이 사업은 문화예술을 통해 지역을 활성화하고 영덕과 울진 간 공통의 문제인 인구소멸, 지역소멸의 위기를 함께 극복하자는 지역 자립, 활력 촉진 사업이다. 이번 공연에는 울진군민 250여 명을 초청해 즐거움을 나누었고 영덕 울진 외에도 포항, 안동, 경주에서도 찾아오는 관객이 줄을 이었다.
영덕문화관광재단은 그간 ‘리틀엔젤스예술단’, 국립오페라단 ‘마술피리’, ‘어버이날 효콘서트’, 뮤지컬 ‘신비아파트’ 등 수준 높은 인기 공연을 선보이며 관내 외 주민들의 사랑을 받아왔다. 특히 내달 10일에는 인기 동화작가 백희나의 베스트셀러를 뮤지컬로 만든 ‘장수탕 선녀님’ 공연이 예정돼있다.
이번 뮤지컬 ‘장수탕 선녀님’ 공연 당일에는 극장에 동행하는 부모를 대상으로 한 간담회도 마련했다. 부모 한쪽이 자녀와 함께 객석에 입장한 후 기다리는 보호자를 따로 모시고 문화생활에 대한 의견이나 제안을 청취, 재단의 문화예술정책에 반영하는 시간이다.
