최민호 세종시장이 지난 30일 코로나19 위기단계 하향으로 대규모 행사를 찾는 방문객 수요가 높아질 것으로 예상됨에 따라 선제적인 대응책을 마련해줄 것을 주문했다.
이날 최 시장은 시청에서 열린 간부회의에서 야외 다중운집행사 개최 시, 상황실과의 상시 연락체계를 통해 즉각 대응을 지시했다.

그는 "중앙·호수공원 및 이응다리 등에서 개최 예정인 행사 대비 주차장 면수가 턱없이 부족한 상황"이라며 "대규모 행사 시 활용할 수 있는 주차공간 확보 방안도 강구하라"고 지시했다.
또 ‘2025 국제정원도시박람회’의 성공개최를 위한 단계별 이행안(로드맵)도 마련해줄 것을 함께 주문했다.
최 시장은 “식물 활착에 필요한 기간을 고려하면 실질적으로 박람회를 준비할 기간이 매우 촉박하다”라며 “단계별 이행안(로드맵), 기본·실시계획을 속도감 있게 추잔해달라”라고 말했다.
이어 “2025 국제정원도시박람회와 2027 하계세계대학경기대회 등 대규모 국제행사가 예정되어 있는 만큼 앞으로도 안전도시 조성에 최선을 다해달라”라고 덧붙였다.
