세종시선거관리위원회는 8일 시 선관위 청사에서 한국영상대학교 경찰범죄심리과 학생 35명을 대상으로 청년유권자 정치참여연수를 실시했다.
이번 연수는 선거와 민주주의 제도에 대한 이해를 통해 대학생의 민주시민의식을 높이고 정치참여를 활성화하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 연수는 △민주주의와 우리나라 선거제도 이해, △청년유권자 선거참여 중요성을 주제로 진행됐다.
특히, 학생들이 직접 보고 경험할 수 있도록 선거사료 관람과 투·개표체험을 연계 진행해 학생들에게 호응을 받았다.
시 선관위 관계자는 "이번 연수가 선거.정치문화 발전을 위한 청년유권자 역할의 중요성에 대해 깊이 이해하고 실천할 수 있는 계기가 되었기를 바란다"고 밝혔다.

Sejong City Election Commission conducted political participation training for students at Korea University of Media and Arts
The Sejong City Election Commission held a political participation training for young voters at the Election Commission building on the 8th for 35 students of the Department of Police Criminal Psychology at Korea Media and Video University.
This training is designed to enhance students' democratic citizenship and vitalize political participation through understanding elections and democratic systems.
The training was held under the themes of △Understanding democracy and the Korean electoral system, △The importance of young voters participating in elections.
