희망브리지, 폭우 피해가 큰 경북 북부지역에 식료품 등 구호물품을 긴급 지원했다.
희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)는 6월29일 밤 사이 쏟아진 폭우로 큰 피해를 본 영주와 봉화 등 경북 북부지역에 생수, 식료품 등 긴급 구호물품 6천186점을 지원했다고 6월30일 밝혔다.
희망브리지가 언론에 배포한 보도자료에 따르면, 지원 물품은 △생수 500ml들이 2천540병 △라면 312개 △이온음료 370병 △초코바 264개 △응급구호세트 40세트(740점) △LH한국토지주택공사의 후원으로 제작한 구호키트 90세트(1890점) △롯데의 후원으로 제작한 자원봉사자 키트 5세트(70점)이다.
한편 희망브리지는 대구·경북지사와 본회 재난대응팀을 급파해 현장 구호활동을 펼치고 있으며, 대용량 세탁·건조가 가능한 특수 세탁구호차량과 이재민들의 마음을 달랠 수 있는 심리지원차량을 급파했다.
희망브리지 김정희 사무총장은 “갑작스러운 폭우로 대피한 이재민 분들이 최대한 불편하시지 않도록 긴급히 함양에 위치한 재해구호물류센터에서 구호물품을 출고했다”라며, “희망브리지는 지난 28일부터 재난안전상황실을 가동하는 등 전 직원이 비상근무에 돌입하고 있으며 피해 상황과 이재민들께서 더 필요하신 물품은 없으신지 면밀히 살피겠다”라고 말했다.

Hope Bridge urgently provided food and other relief supplies to northern Gyeongbuk Province, which was hit hard by heavy rains.
On June 30, Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced that it provided 6,186 items of emergency relief supplies such as bottled water and food to the northern regions of North Gyeongsangbuk-do, including Yeongju and Bonghwa, which were severely damaged by heavy rain overnight on June 29.
According to a press release issued by Hope Bridge, the donated items include 2,540 500-ml bottles of bottled water, 312 instant noodles, 370 bottles of ionized beverages, 264 chocolate bars, 40 emergency relief kits (740 points), 90 relief kits sponsored by LH Korea Land and Housing Corporation (1890 points), and five volunteer kits sponsored by Lotte (70 points).
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge has dispatched its Daegu and Gyeongbuk branches and headquarters disaster response teams to provide on-site relief, as well as a special laundry relief vehicle that can wash and dry large amounts of laundry and a psychological support vehicle that can soothe the hearts of victims.
"We urgently shipped relief supplies from the disaster relief logistics center in Hamyang so that the evacuees who were evacuated due to the sudden heavy rain would not be inconvenienced as much as possible," said Kim Jung-hee, Secretary General of Hope Bridge. "We have been operating a disaster safety situation room since the 28th of this month, and all employees are working on emergency duty, and we will closely monitor the damage situation and whether there are any more supplies that the victims need."
