희망브리지가 폭염 취약계층을 위해 10억 원 규모의 ‘시원한 여름날’ 키트를 지원한다.
희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)는 언론에 배포한 보도자료를 통해 여름철 본격적인 더위를 대비해 폭염에 노출된 재난취약계층 2만1천명을 대상으로 열냉각 시트, 쿨스카프, 손선풍기 등 14종의 물품으로 구성된 키트인 ‘시원한 여름날’을 지원한다고 7일 밝혔다.
희망브리지의 ‘시원한 여름날’ 폭염키트는 전국 사회복지시설 35곳을 통해 정부의 복지정책이 닿지 못하는 아동, 청소년, 노인, 장애인, 노숙인 등에게 지원된다.
이번 폭염키트는 다수 기업이 쾌척한 10억원 규모의 기부금으로 마련했다.
키트 구성 물품은 사전 현장의 수요조사를 통해 열냉각 시트, 쿨 스카프, 손 선풍기, 부채, 홑겹이불, 모기 기피제, 마스크, 모기퇴치 밴드, 보디 물티슈, 텀블러, 분말형 이온 음료, 유산균, 과일청, 마스크 등 총 14종으로 구성되었다.
희망브리지 김정희 사무총장은“폭염은 매년 소리 없이 많은 사상자를 내는 무서운 재난”이라며 “모쪼록 이번 지원으로 전국 사회복지시설을 이용하는 재난 취약계층이 건강한 여름을 보내시기를 바란다”라고 말했다.
