생명 나눔 실천을 위한 ‘2023년 사랑 나눔 헌혈의 날’ 행사가 12일 있었다.
세종시 소담고는 이날 대한적십자사 대전·세종·충남혈액원과 ‘2023년 사랑 나눔 헌혈의 날’ 행사에 참여해 생명나눔을 실천했다.
이번 헌혈 행사는 저출산과 고령화로 인한 인구구조의 변화와 코로나19의 여파 등 여러 요인으로 혈액 수급이 불안정한 현실의 어려움을 극복하기 위해 추진하게 됐다.
특히, 헌혈은 수혈이 필요한 사람을 위해 자신의 생명을 나누는 숭고한 행위라는 의미를 되새기며 소담고 교직원과 학생 약 150여 명이 한마음으로 참여했다.
헌혈 행사에 참여한 1학년 배수빈 학생은 “헌혈 전에는 아플까 봐 걱정을 했는데 헌혈을 마치고 나니 혈액이 필요한 사람에게 뜻깊게 사용될 것이라는 생각에 뿌듯하다.”라며, “헌혈 참여라는 작은 행동으로 소담고의 ‘존중과 배려’의 정신을 실천할 좋은 기회였다.”라고 말했다.
소담고 이석 교장은 “이번 헌혈 행사로 소중한 생명을 살리는 데 도움이 되기를 바란다.”라며, “앞으로도 공동체를 향한 사랑과 생명 나눔에 계속해서 관심을 갖고 관련 행사에 대한 교직원과 학생들의 자발적인 참여를 장려해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
