이승원 세종시 경제부시장이 주요 현안 사업 추진에 속도를 내기 위해 재정당국과 면담을 가지며 국비 확보에 나섰다.
이 부시장은 3일 기획재정부 예산실을 찾아 김동일 예산실장과 조용범 사회예산심의관, 황순관 경제예산심의관, 안상열 복지안전예산심의관을 연이어 만나 현안사업을 설명하고 재정당국의 협조를 요청했다.
그는 2027 하계세계대학경기대회의 폐회식, 육상경기 등이 세종시에서 개최될 예정인 만큼, 종합체육시설의 원활한 건립을 위해 내년도 정부예산 지원이 반드시 필요하다고 설명했다.
이어, 대통령제2집무실 건립 또한 단계별 이행안(로드맵)에 따라 차질없이 진행될 수 있도록 설계비 42억 원을 지원해달라고 요청했다.
이번 집중호우로 많은 피해가 발생한 금강의 건강성 회복과 홍수 대응 역량 강화를 위해 ‘금강 통합하천사업’의 홍수저장공간 확보 공사비 85억 원도 요청했다.
시가 최초로 유치한 국제기구인 ‘유네스코 글로벌센터’의 건립비 10억 원과 ‘제2컨벤션시설 건립’을 위한 기본계획 수립비 1억 원 반영도 함께 건의했다.
전국 광역시도 중 유일하게 세종시만 설치되지 않은 운전면허시험장 설치를 위해 내년도 기본계획 수립비의 지원을 요청하기도 했다.
이 부시장은 “건의한 사업은 미래전략수도 완성과 시민 안전 제고 등을 위해 반드시 필요한 사업”이라며 “정부안에 반영될 수 있도록 여당과 긴밀한 협의에 나서겠다”라고 밝혔다.
시는 이날 건의한 사업들이 내년도 정부예산안에 반영될 수 있도록 추진 상황을 지속 점검하고 정부의 예산 편성 일정에 따라 전략적인 대응에 나설 계획이다.
내년도 정부예산안은 오는 8월말까지 기재부 심사를 거쳐 9월초 국회에 제출되며 국회심의와 의결을 통해 12월 최종 확정된다.
